What makes tele-oncology stand out?
Tele-oncology is both feasible and safe. Multiple studies across solid and hematologic malignancies show no difference in clinical outcomes for appropriately selected visits (e.g., consultations, treatment planning, toxicity checks, and follow-up) compared with in-person care, while patient satisfaction consistently exceeds 90%. Tele-oncology programs have also been shown to reduce time to treatment initiation, decrease missed visits, and significantly lower travel burden - particularly for rural patients - when delivered in collaboration with on-site oncology teams and standardized clinical protocols.
